Bzz, let's talk Pollinators!

Today is World Bee Day - World Bee Day is always May 20th because it is the birthday of Anton Jansa, the pioneer of beekeeping. He was born all the way back in 1734! I want to celebrate how awesome pollinators, including bees, are. Not only are they super important (Do you know why? We'll explore it!) but they need our help. These resources have a ton of pollinator tidbits that can be both educational and fun to explore. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden has some information on planting for pollinators and a Pollen Nation program, so while exploring pollinators, you can go on to all of the online fun the Zoo/Garden has including their At Home Safaris! I'll be posting another blog post about the Cincinnati Zoo later!
