Bonus book review! Have you read the book Littlebat's Halloween Story? This book by DIane Mayr, illustrated by Gideon Kendall is the cutest thing. It features a cute young bat who lives above a school where he loves to listen to all the stories the teacher tells the kids. He yearns to be able to sit with the kids to hear the see the story better, but his mom won't let him because it's just not safe for him... until Halloween! On Halloween, after months of waiting, Littlebat is able to swoop down to hang from the paper garland and he blends right into the Halloween decor. The cute illustrations are one of my favorite parts, and I just love how Littlebat (with a ton of patience) is able to see the seasons change until he has his time to shine, Halloween is certainly a time to celebrate these cute little, fascinating, animals. Be sure to check this book out, if possible, and then make some hanging bat crafts in his honor. :)
