National Do Something Good For Your Neighbor Day

Updated: May 19, 2020

This weekend, make sure you focus on some ways to be a good neighbor as today (Saturday the 16th) is National Do Something Good For Your Neighbor Day! This is the perfect time for a pick me up act of kindness for the people in your neighborhood - social distancing and being isolated can be hard for some people.

Ways to Connect with Neighbors during Coronavirus:

Games you can play with neighbors during social distincing:

These are geared towards the holidays, but anything can be tweaked to be spring/summer/general gifting:

More gift ideas:

Not something that actually does anything for a neighbor haha, but this game is a fun family card game with the themed name - Help Your Neighbor:

This post talks about some ways to send friends Birthday gifts during the pandemic, these things can also be for neighbor gifts:

Printable "I can help" postcards for neighbors isolating during the pandemic:

Another Community Kindness Isolation card for neighbors:

Have you seen how people are doing fun Chalk the Walk drawings to spread kindness and joy during self isolation? Draw out some chalk game for walkers to play, or write an encouraging message to neighbors on locations easily washed away. You might be able to find some ideas here:

Make gifts of gratitude for neighbors and delivery people who help you:

If you know your neighbor well, consider getting them a gift card to local small businesses they like or an e-card for their favorite streaming services. A card for a movie rental and a package of microwave popcorn is a cute idea. Whatever you do, it should brighten your neighbors spirits during these strange times. :)

Do anything here and want to share? Have more ideas? Use the hashtag #LearningFunWithLaura so I can check it out!
